Head out from Onse Rus to discover the many treasures of the district :

While hiking, spot Duiker darting across your path through the cool wooded kloofs, or Klipspringer bounding up the slopes ahead of you, while black eagles wheel amongst the peaks. 

For the less energetic, fuel the soul by taking an early morning stroll in the veld, or simply put your feet up and relax under the Pepper tree with a good book. 

For the adventurous there are safari trips up the breathtaking Swartberg Pass and down into Gamkaskloof, know as “Die Hell”, or perhaps a cycle down the Swartberg Mountains on a rented mountain bike. You might venture out on a day trip through the Swartberg Loop... all provide unforgettable experiences.

If you have a 4x4 you can head for the Gamkapoort dam.

Guests staying more than two days are most welcome to take a short drive beyond 

the Prince Albert Valley to visit Vrisch Gewaagt, 1800 hectares of Karoo landscape 

with the Swartberg as a majestic back drop.

There are amazing walks across the Karoo and along mountain kloofs.
